About us

ALEG is a non-profit Scientific Institution that brings together healthcare and medical professionals interested in Gynecological Endocrinology and related fields throughout Latin America.

For more than three decades, we have been a regional reference space for scientific exchange and the development of good clinical practices focused on comprehensive women’s health, from childhood to menopause.

Our community is composed of gynecologists, endocrinologists, human reproduction specialists, biochemists, researchers, academics, and related professionals, united by a common commitment: to improve the quality of women’s healthcare across our region.

Our Objectives

1. Ongoing scientific exchange: To promote scientific exchange among medical and scientific organizations across Latin America related to the specialty.

2. Continuous education and training: To encourage professional training and continuing medical education through academic events and diploma programs.

3. Clinical Practice Guidelines: To standardize clinical practice through the development and updating of Clinical Management Guidelines.

4. Knowledge dissemination: To share updated scientific information with the medical community and society.

5. Internationalization: To promote ALEG’s international presence through participation in academic and scientific events in member countries.

6. Professional ethics: To preserve and strengthen ethical standards in clinical, academic, and scientific practice.

7. Advisory support for related institutions: To provide guidance to related institutions in addressing issues linked to the specialty.

“Assuming the presidency of ALEG is both an honor and, above all, a responsibility. This association represents decades of collective work by specialists who believed that scientific exchange among Latin American colleagues could transform clinical practice and, with it, the health of millions of women.”

During the 2025–2027 term, we aim to strengthen the ties between our national societies, promote access to ALEG for professionals at the beginning of their careers, encourage networking and professional development, and consolidate Latin American scientific production as an international reference.

Gynecological Endocrinology has much to contribute to the world, and ALEG is the space from which that voice is projected.
