A recap of a month full of activity for ALEG: presence at the region’s leading congresses, meetups with colleagues from across Latin America, and news we’d been preparing for a while.
August was a month of constant movement for ALEG. We were present at the region’s most important scientific congresses, met with colleagues from different Latin American countries, and have already started planning the next activities for our community of members.
Present at the Argentine Congress of Controversies in Obstetrics and Gynecology
We took part in the Argentine Congress of Controversies in Obstetrics and Gynecology, one of the most relevant scientific events on the regional calendar.
Our symposium on “Challenges in Gynecological Endocrinology”
As part of that same congress, we held our symposium “Challenges in Gynecological Endocrinology,” with the participation of colleagues from different Latin American countries.
Discussion panels: pregnancy, sexuality, and hormones
In addition, we took part in several discussion panels on pregnancy, sexuality, and hormones, among other core topics in our specialty, alongside colleagues from the region.
We also took part in the 37th Brazilian Congress of Endocrinology and Metabolism (CBE 2026), strengthening ALEG’s ties with Brazil’s scientific societies.
A wonderful international gathering where we held our symposium “Special Topics on Menopause,” moderated by our President, Dr. Poli Mara Spritzer, alongside Dr. Karen Faggioni de Marca, with lectures by Dr. Susana Pilnik, Dr. Tamara dos Santos Tomé, Dr. Fernando dos Reis, and Dr. Dolores Pardini.
